About Us

Vision

c2cafrica is committed to improving the quality of peoples livelihoods through the establishment of a leading African fair trade market web portal – an equitable self upliftment resource for all Africans irrespective of location and socio-economic status. c2cafrica aims to facilitate appreciation of community assets, enabling synergistic networking with other communities as well as access to local, regional and global resources and markets.

The c2cafrica marketplace will be dedicated, uniquely, to providing an accessible equitable representation of civil society initiatives – both non-profit and commercial orientated – that addresses the gap between remote and/or rural homestead to community enterprises and urban homestead to community enterprises and markets.

Mission

C2cafricas’ mission is to provide a recognized fair trade marketplace on the web with supporting self upliftment resources that enables African homestead to community non-profit and commercial enterprises to access markets. Moreover, c2cafrica aims to evolve with the needs and identities of the African marketplace.

Values

c2cafrica believes in the creative synergistic potential resident in homesteads and communities that if unlocked or fully realised can significantly contribute to improving quality of livelihoods underscored by sustainable development.

Pivotal to c2cafricas’ activities are the internationally recognised “Fair trade principles” namely: Fair wages; Equitable, community-invested relationships; Consumer education; Environmental sustainability; Facilitate access to resources; Respect for cultural identity; Accountability - as well as the job creation, economic development 'proudly South African' campaign.
